No doubt you know Qlocktwo from those gorgeous wall clocks that tell time in neat sentences and in countless languages. But now the designers behind the brand, artists Biegert & Funk<\/a>, came up with something new: Moon!<\/strong><\/p>

Moon is a moon phase display like you find on some watches, but in XXXXXXL size. For on the wall.<\/p>

An homage to the moon, that dog-like companion of our planet, which always appears in the same phase from every location on earth, which is responsible for ebb and flow, plays a leading role in countless legends and myths, connects people across borders and cultures and is an integral part of all of us time. In short, a factor in our lives that everyone has to deal with, no matter who you are and where you live.<\/p>

\"\"The Qlocktwo Moon captures the beauty and magical power of 'Luna' by displaying the passage of time of a lunar cycle in 28 recurring intervals -from full moon to full moon- via 14 rotating prisms. So not a spinning moon, as seen on watches, but a kind of vertically placed slats that turn over and show a different colour side\/shade as time passes, to visualise the correct phase of the moon.<\/p>

Big and bigger<\/h2>

Moon 90 and 180 (the numbers indicate sizes in cm) are available in Mindnight (the blue is reminiscent of the mystical transition between day and night), Nightfall (the dark grey creates a nice contrast with the different displays) and Dawn (a tribute to dawn when the moon is already shining, in white and grey). And for this unique temporal experience, there are three -literally- brilliant finishes: Gold, Platinum or Moon Gold. And we're not talking about a lick of gold paint. No, the prisms of the display are decorated with about 100 sheets of gold (24 carats), platinum (Pt 999) or moongold, designed in the style of the mysterious lunar landscape.<\/p>

A conscious choice, as these materials are an important part of our Earth's history and existed in the universe long before the formation of our own planet as well as the moon. So they effectively document the last five billion years, adding depth and timeless elegance to the Qlocktwo Moon.<\/p>
