In 1947, Maserati drove its first production car onto the road, the A6 1500. The 1500 Gran Turismo, as it would be called, ran on a 1.5-litre six-in-line engine producing 65bhp and a top speed of 156km\/h. Some things have changed in the past 75 years, to say the least. The arrival of a new Maserati<\/a> GranTurismo is no everyday occurrence. Over the past 16 years, the car has become a usual suspect in the world's most glamorous and affluent places. Where it impresses with its distinctive design and overwhelming V8 soundtrack. Two of the new GranTurismo's, continue that soundtrack.<\/p>

\"\"The Modena and Trofeo versions share the same 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo internal combustion engine. The Modena performs with 490 hp and the Trofeo, with some powertrain upgrades, with 550 hp.<\/p>

Maserati Folgore, full of Formula E technology<\/h3>

On the other side of the coin is the Folgore; Maserati's first electric car. A car that applies Formula E technology to run 100 per cent on batteries. It has three 92.5 kWh magnetic motors for a total power output of 761 hp. As a result, the 0-100 time is a very minimal 2.7 seconds, with a top speed of a whopping 320 km\/h.<\/p>

There is no official range yet, but Maserati's battery does support pre-conditioning. This allows the battery to reach the right temperature as soon as it comes close to a fast charger, for faster charging.<\/p>

\"\"It also has an innovative construction that uses lightweight aluminium, magnesium and high-grade steel. In addition, the interior uses Econyl for the seats, a sustainable material made from recycled fishing nets.<\/p>
