Its mission is to help preserve our own - okay, Germany and Denmark share in - Wadden Sea, the world's largest tidal system and official UNESCO World Heritage Site.<\/p>

The Dat Watt - this wonderful name is named after local dialect for the Wadden Sea - is based on the Oris Aquis diver's watch. Its dial shows the lunar cycle and tidal range in the northern hemisphere via the Pointer Moon function developed by Oris, made for professional divers. This works with a central white hand that, once aligned with the correct day in the 29.5-day lunar cycle, shows the corresponding tide via the white outline on the dial. The same pointer indicates the waxing and waning of the moon. The edition of Dat Watt is 2,009 pieces, corresponding to the year the Wadden Sea received its UNESCO status.
