Iconic French champagne house Moët & Chandon is joining forces with the American singer, musician and producer Pharrell Williams for a scintillating collaboration...
Together, they are launching the Moët & Chandon Pharrell Williams Limited Edition Collection, focusing on birthdays and human connection (read: conviviality). "The best thing about having a birthday is the people who want to celebrate your birthday with you," says Pharrell. So for him, Moët & Chandon has been the symbol of celebration and tradition for years. It makes him 'Happy'. "When I was old enough to toast with champagne for the first time, Moët & Chandon was my frame of reference. It's just a tradition, a ritual."
An Ode to Birthdays
Worldwide, 22 million people celebrate their birthdays every day. This collection emphasises that this is not about the gift or the party itself, but about the people you share it with. Moët & Chandon thus stays true to the tradition of birthday toasts, dating back to 1965, with famous fans such as Paul Newman, Scarlett Johansson and Roger Federer.
The Design: Classic with a Twist
Pharrell and Moët & Chandon searched the brand's archives and discovered that the iconic bow on the bottle was originally a bow tie, a symbol of togetherness and joy. This discovery inspired the Limited Edition collection with striking design details, with that bow tie as the key element.
The collection consists of:
Brut Impérial (gold, midnight blue, deep red) - 75cl for €56.95
Nectar Impérial Rosé (white) - 75cl for €72.95
There is also the exclusive Bow Capsule with an oversized fabric bow designed by Parisian Atelier Baqué Molinié. This bow is detachable and can be worn as a brooch, giving a playful nod to the classic bottle.
A Campaign Full of Joy
The launch is accompanied by a global media campaign centred on Pharrell. Through the eyes of friends, the campaign shows how a birthday party in Paris comes to life. With a copious amount of champagne, of course!
From 1 March, the collection will be available exclusively at Bijenkorf and online.
