The second generation of one of the world's best smartwatches is a reality. Garmin has taken the MARQ collection in hand, so from now on it says Gen 2 after it.
The MARQ comes as Athlete, Adventurer, Golfer, Captain and Aviator. All are made of Grade-5 titanium (46 mm) and feature a bright AMOLED touchscreen with domed sapphire lens, stronger and brighter than before. Packed with special features for specific users, a long battery life of up to 16 days in smartwatch mode and with high-quality materials, each MARQ watch is ready for the adventure or activity you choose. The same goes for the straps, by the way, which are made of titanium, leather, jacquard woven nylon and silicone.
Jet lag advice by Garmin MARQ
Compared to the previous generation, there have been both improvements (for example, twice as fast charging), and very interesting features added. A few examples? The Jet Lag Adviser. Whether you're a world traveller or an athlete participating in events at home or abroad, this feature helps you feel at your best mentally and physically. Based on your sleep history and other data, it recommends the amount of light exposure, as well as a sleep schedule, exercise, caffeine intake, diet and more to minimise the effects of jet lag.
Very precise location determination
Also interesting: the entire collection now supports multi-band GNSS, multi-frequency GPS (L1 + L5) and Garmin SatIQ technology. This ensures superior positioning accuracy in any environment, but also optimises battery life at the same time. Because wherever the adventure takes you, this technology automatically selects the right satellite mode for the environment in real time. And so, all the watches in this high-end collection feature interesting innovations -for aviators, golfers, sailors, adventurers and athletes- that take them to an even higher level.
The MARQ (Gen 2) ranges in price from €1,950 to €2,550. For a complete overview of the numerous specs, visit garmin.com.
