With the new Scout Rogue, Indian Motorcycle introduces an impressive machine for motorcyclists who want to stand out from the crowd.
As early as 1901, Indian Motorcycle launched its first motorcycle-a bicycle with a frame-mounted 1-cylinder mid-motor that drove the rear wheel via a chain-which made it the oldest motorbike builder in the US. Barely a decade later, Indian was also the largest motorbike builder in the world, a status that was brought to an end by World War I. Since then, much has happened to the brand, it celebrated many (sporting) successes and experienced numerous takeovers and comebacks. A constant factor in Indian's existence, however, is the Scout, a model that was originally launched back in 1919 and has continued to enthuse motorbike enthusiasts as a living legend in ever new versions ever since. So too in 2022 with this new Scout Rogue, undoubtedly the most aggressive version ever.
Iconic
Combining iconic design with modern styling elements, the Scout Rogue shamelessly demands attention and encourages riders to uninhibited self-expression. New details, including a quarter fairing (fairing), mini ape-hanger handlebars, sport style saddle, blacked-out mudguards and valve covers, and a 19-inch front wheel (instead of 16 inches), create a bold look. One that perfectly matches the powertrain, a serious powerhouse (70kW (94hp), liquid-cooled, 1133cc V-Twin) with plenty of torque in the low rev range, guaranteeing spirited acceleration.
Aggressive
As potent and aggressive as the Scout Rogue looks, those who sit on it immediately experience a sense of confidence. The low seat height, pleasantly manageable wheelbase and low centre of gravity make for fine handling - regardless of your experience level on the bike.
Great for comfort on long rides, or when riding with a passenger, you can use rotary knobs to adjust the compression and rebound damping of the Piggyback rear shock absorbers. So you can easily choose a smooth, long suspension travel or a slightly firmer damping.
Also new is the sport-style Solo Seat, which offers great comfort for long rides. But also safety, as the raised rear edge keeps the rider in place during hard acceleration.
Cool
The Indian Scout Rogue is available in the cool colours Sagebrush Smoke, Black Smoke Midnight and Stealth Gray. Riders who want to add a personal touch to their motorbike can do so with various Indian Motorcycle accessories that further enhance the performance, style and comfort of the bike. For example, there is an additional tachometer with gearshift lights, which you can have fitted next to the standard instrument cluster. This will keep you informed of the engine's revs and, via an LED shift light, indicate the optimum shifting moments.
