If you want to collect legendary aeroplanes, you need a big garage, so you prefer watches based on those same planes. That is a bit easier to store, but also ensures daily wearing pleasure.
Breitling launches the Super AVI, a new series of watches commemorating aviation history. All designs are based on the original pilot's watch 1953 Co-Pilot Ref. 765 AVI, but additionally on four legendary aircraft.

The North American Aviation P-51 Mustang, the best fighting machine of its time; on your wrist in the form of a stainless steel case with black dial or in 18ct red gold with a dial.

The Vought F4U Corsair, with a blue dial, chronograph counters that are tone on tone, design features borrowed from the typical emblem of these naval aircraft.

The Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, as a watch with an army green dial, white contrasting chronograph counters and red accents, recalling the famous shark's beak mural on the nose of the eponymous aircraft.

And finally the Havilland Mosquito, nicknamed the Wooden Wonder: a combination of a polished and satinised black ceramic bezel and a black dial with white contrasting chronograph counters. The red and orange elements recall the markings also seen on the versatile aircraft.
