The range of electric scooters and mopeds is growing rapidly. More brands, more versions. And this is definitely one of the nicest models we have come across so far: the Brekr Model B, conceived and built in the Dutch Achterhoek region. The latter is also where the origin of that strange name lies: brekken is Achterhoek for having fun.
ACTIERADIUS
And a 'brekr' is an epicurean, someone who doesn't put too much weight on things and also has a great love for motorised wheels. Even if they are electrically driven. You can certainly have fun on this bike. With two batteries on board, even up to 160 kilometres. This is partly due to the aluminium frame, which makes the Brekr ten to thirty kilograms lighter than an average scooter and therefore boasts a longer range.
BACK TO THE FUTURE
Nice specs, but best of all, of course, is the striking design of this moped, which balances between futuristic and retro. A kind of cafe racer from the future; a term that suits it like a tailor-made suit, because, like those bikes from the 1950s, this wide-banded Model B can also be customised to taste. Want to see it live? The Brekr is currently on display at The Society Shop shops. It is available as a moped with a maximum speed of 25 km per hour or as a moped with a maximum speed of 45 km per hour. Costs from €4199 Check: www.brekr.com
