Sometimes it seems as if elegance would not be in the vocabulary of e-bike buyers. We mostly see thick tubes, angular shapes and, these days, wide tyres under chopper-style retros. All fine, of course, because everyone's taste. And that's partly why we find this CGO6OO, Tenways elegance e-bike such a pleasant surprise....
At first glance, you wouldn't even tell it was an e-bike, with its slender tubes and sleek looks. The CGO6OO is an ideal machine for anyone who appreciates its dainty looks and is looking for a 25 km/h bike with fine pedal assistance, a tidy range of 70 km and no choice stress (because only one gear). With an aluminium 6061 frame and only 15 kg clean on the hook, it is lighter than most e-bikes on the market. The rear axle houses a brushless 250W hub motor with 40 Nm of torque, smoothly controlled by a magnetic torque sensor, which transforms every movement into motor power.
Super smooth
This is all done with an agility rarely seen. Drive is not via a chain, but via a maintenance-free carbon belt. And braking is done nicely and reliably with hydraulic disc brakes. Also nice: if the power runs out, or you just don't need support for a while, you can use the CGO6OO as a regular bike. Few e-bikes are then as agile and nimble as this one. And then there's another argument. Because what about the all-important price tag of just under 1,600 euros!
