Casio's Mudmaster was already pretty much up to anything, but the Japanese take it up a notch with the GWG-2000 by adding forged carbon to this version.
Forged carbon is made by kneading fine carbon particles into synthetic resin. The material is then compressed at high temperatures and under extreme pressure in a printing press. This can be done in a variety of complex shapes.
All-proof
Thanks to this method, the dial of the Mudmaster GWG-2000 is structurally protected and the visible fine carbon particles on the surface create a black-grey pattern that is unique of its kind.
The watch is also extra resistant to dust and mud thanks to a combination of stainless steel button pipes and internal silicone buffer material. And also nice: the case is now 1.9 millimetres thinner than the previous model. Which noticeably improves wearing comfort.
